Comfortably Numb

After the Nahant 30k I had no choice but to take some time off. Things with the Achilles had gotten so bad that I couldn't possible think about taking another step. After about 2 months off I have decide to get some pretty aggressive treatments on my left calf. I'm having some Graston work done on it at least once a week. This is deep tissue work with surgical steel instruments....Oh it's so much fun.
Anyway, it seems to be breaking up a bunch of scar tissue and junk that has built up over the years.
I ran an 8 mile loop today and things were pretty bearable. Speaking of bearable, the USAT&F GP slate fiasco has been unbearable. For all of those who complained about t-shirts, medals, and prize money, please stay home. The potato chips are on me.
